CCS Core Value: BWI

Biblical Worldview Integration (BWI) is the process of applying God’s TRUTH, as revealed in the Bible, to every aspect of life.

In any subject in school, biblical worldview integration means making the connections between academic content and the bigger picture of the biblical worldview.

How does this happen at CCS?

What Biblical Worldview Integration Is Not: Integration is not “association”. Integration is not “object lessons”.

AN OBJECT LESSON:

  • Illustrates a “lesson” about something other than the subject matter
  • Usually takes the form of analogy or allegory
  • Is used to make spiritual lessons more memorable or meaningful
  • Reveals the glory of God, purpose of God, or mind of God in relation to something other than the subject matter itself

INTEGRATION:

  • Directly relates to the subject matter itself
  • Rarely uses analogy or allegory
  • Is used to make the subject matter itself more significant
  • Reveals the glory of God, purpose of God, or mind of God in relation to the subject matter itself
