STUDY SKILLS
This class is designed to provide instruction and/or support in the following areas:

• Study skills (note taking, test preparation, test taking strategies, etc.)
• Time management
• Organization of materials
• Weekly grade and missing assignment check-ups
• Daily use of planner
• Reinforcement of classroom instruction
• Test modifications for students with accommodation plans

The teacher also acts as a liaison between the teachers and parents to ensure student’s success.

TARGETED INSTRUCTION: MATH
This class is offered at the Junior High and High School levels (grades 7-12) to provide small group instruction in foundational math concepts. Students are assessed to determine areas in need of further instruction to bring each up to grade level performance. Math manipulatives, computer programs, hands-on activities and 1:1 instruction are some of the methods employed in this course. In High School this class takes the place of the student’s regular math class (Algebra, Geometry or Algebra 2).

*Cost: $2,300 per year (four student minimum) or $1,500 per year for CCS Online with tutoring and teacher supervision

TARGETED INSTRUCTION: ENGLISH
This course is offered for students to, when needed, provide support for ongoing grade level coursework as well as remediation in areas of weakness.  This course will provide remediation based on a variety of assessment results. The teacher will also incorporate the use of a variety of instructional materials (including computer programs) to enhance learning. In some cases this course will take the place of a student’s grade level English course. This will be determined individually for each student.

• High School: CCS Online course only (Grades 9-12)

*Cost:    $2,300 per year (four student minimum) or $1,500 per year for CCS Online with tutoring and teacher supervision
