High School Jazz Band aims at equipping students to play as a smaller ensemble; their goal is to
be a group that is rhythmically and stylistically savvy. Students must audition every year in order
to be accepted into Jazz Band.

They travel to various festivals in the area and perform at various venues throughout the year, including:

• Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho. 
• Jazz Band students participate in Solo and Ensemble
• Washington Music Educators Association Honor Band
• Pacific Lutheran University Honor Band
• Fall concert
• Spring concert
• Marching in the Daffodil Parade
• Christmas Celebration
