High School Frequently Asked Questions

What are the school hours?
Classes begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 2:45 p.m.; Friday class begins at 7:45 a.m. and dismisses early at 2:10 p.m.
 
How many students attend Cascade Christian High School?
There are currently approximately 310 students attending CCHS.
 
What is the student to teacher ratio?
The average student to teacher ratio is 22:1
 
What are the teacher credentials?
All of the K-12 teachers at CCS are Washington State certified and teaching in their field of expertise. The average years for our teachers working in a Christian School are 8.3 years, working in education 10.7 years, and at CCS, 5.9 years.
 
Is there a school supply list available?
Complete, class specific supply lists will be provided to students by their teachers on the first day of school. Please come prepared with basic supplies on the first day of school.
 
When will we get my child's schedule?
High School schedules will be visible in RenWeb in late August. Please check the HS homepage and your email  for the August mailer.
 
What if we need to make a change to my child's schedule?
Please email Mrs. Byrd in the school office to request a schedule change.
 
What are the student's options for lunch?
Students may bring a sack lunch or use the lunch program. Lunches are purchased by using their lunch account. Funds may be added to the family lunch account on registration day, before school in the school office, or through the family ParentsWeb account. Students then give their name or show their ASB card at the time of purchase, and purchases are verified through photo ID in the RenWeb lunch system. Vending machines and microwave ovens are also available for use by the students.
 
How is the best way to contact my child's teacher?
The best way to communicate with a teacher is through email. If you need to speak to a teacher immediately you may call the office (253) 445-9706 to leave a message for that teacher to call you back.
 
Where can I get more information regarding school policies and procedures?
Additional information is available in the school handbook. The school's Campus Connections webpage is also a valuable source of information and the link is emailed to parents weekly.
 
Does my driving student need a parking permit?
No, parking permits are not required. However, please fill out a vehicle registration form and turn it into the main office.
