Do you sometimes feel pulled in different directions? While the things that pull on us day in and day out can be, and often are, good in and of themselves, the problem is that being pulled like this can make us feel as though we have no grounding. And when we have nothing we feel grounded in, that can lead to feeling out of balance or simply lost. It is important, therefore, that we have a grounding, especially when life seems chaotic and out of control.
For this reason I am excited to share that, in the 2022-23 school year, we will be exploring what it means to be ROOTED IN GOD, with Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV) as our theme Scripture passage:
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,”
Throughout the school year, our students will discover that being rooted in God means having a strong foundation in Him, the Bible, and the church.
“rooted and built up in him,”
Once we find our roots in Him, Paul encourages us to not stop there, but to grow! So, we will explore what it means to grow in love, hope, and gratitude as we build on this firm foundation.
“strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Finally, as we grow from a solid foundation, the end result is an abundance of the fruit of the Spirit in our lives as we thrive in Him. We will conclude the year discovering that thriving in the firm foundation we find in Christ Jesus overflows in our participation of His mission in the world, in our worship, and in how we live our lives of obedience to Him.
Only in Him can we thrive in this amazing journey called life. We look forward to making this journey with you!
