Dedicated to Developing Discerning Leaders

And That's A Wrap!

June 11, 2020
By Michele Suiter, HS Principal

This week marks our final week of school for the 2019-2020 school year, and my final week at Cascade Christian Schools.

I often talk about the growth and resilience of our students and staff, but rarely do I have the opportunity to share how this has occurred in my life as a result of serving at CCS. In my time serving here, I have learned:

  • How beautiful it is to walk alongside families, staff, and students who love God
  • That the students are the best and brightest part of every day
  • How to be resilient and make hard decisions even when others don’t understand
  • What a rare gift being able to work alongside Dr.Ken Friesen is — he is my mentor, my biggest advocate, and my friend
  • How to be creative, listen to new ideas, be open, and be willing to be challenged in my thinking
  • How to use data well and in meaningful ways
  • How to worship with my life
  • That sometimes being a leader is incredibly lonely, but the mission is always worth it
  • How to pray. Pray, pray, pray.

These are just some lessons I have learned along the way. Sure, I have learned about scheduling and credits and discipline… but the real learning has come in living out the mission God called me to so many years ago.

Thank you, Cascade Christian Family, for the privilege of serving you all these years. For believing in me, trusting me, and for loving me.

I. Am. Grateful.

I. Have. Grown.

I. Am Better. Because of You.
