We Are Better Together

Greetings, Cougar Family!

Every year at this time our campus looks forward to a special time to celebrate our parent volunteers. This year we are doing this remotely through a compilation of sincere and heartfelt messages from our Frederickson team, who have GREATLY benefited from your partnership. Were we to gather together in our traditional way, our theme would have been Better Together! I have always believed that we can accomplish far more when we collaborate all our gifts and talents for the benefit of the whole. In this moment, I am more convinced of this than ever.

Though we have not had the opportunity to gather for more than two months, we have proven to one another and to ourselves how true this is. We have also proven that we do not have to be physically present to accomplish great things as long as we are together in spirit. We’ve done hard things together over time, but most recently, we have accomplished what many of us could never have imagined. Though remote learning is not our first choice for how to educate our students, not only have we together accomplished it, but we’ve done it AMAZINGLY, and the finish line is now in sight!

As you know well, the question of the hour is, What is school going to look like in September? I wish I could tell you that I have the answer, but I do not. However, what I have learned through this season and what I can be more confident in than ever is that whatever September holds, WE can do it! We are ALL IN this, and we are Better Together!

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.… Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
—Ecclesiastes 4:9–12, NIV
