Dear CCS Community:

It is with a great deal of joy and anticipation that I say, “Welcome to the 2023-24 school year!” It was amazing to watch our campuses come to life as students and parents participated in Meet the Teacher and Preview Day activities, and then to see them all return the next day for the beginning of formal classes. I must admit that watching the elementary students and parents taking their “first day of ---- grade” photos in front of CCS backdrops was my highlight of the first day of school.

In the spirit of packing week one with as many community-building events as possible, our all-district Convocation at the JH/HS campus was an incredible event. It is difficult to adequately express the fullness I felt as I observed interactions, experienced my own interactions with so many of you, and felt God’s powerful presence as we joined together in worship and prayer. We truly are a blessed community full of amazing people.

I also want to express deep gratitude to Brandon Sales, lead pastor of Lighthouse Christian Center, and CCS parent, for offering our prayer of dedication over the 2023-24 school year. I can’t think of a better way for us to start the year than to come together as a community to intentionally seek God’s blessing, gaze on His beauty, and dwell in His presence.
