Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! Our teachers returned to campus last week and worked tirelessly to prepare for this upcoming year. We are so excited to have our students back on campus and start the school year full of anticipation for what God is going to do.

This year’s spiritual theme is “Be Still (Even When),” and it comes from Psalm 46:10 –

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (NIV)

In a world filled with busyness, distraction, and continuous information overload, the Lord wants us to be still so that we can be present with Him and Him alone. God is the creator and sustainer of this earth. God is in control of the happenings within the nations, even when we don’t understand or don’t agree with what’s going on. God is Sovereign Lord over Cascade Christian. We are eager to lean into this spiritual theme this school year and allow the Lord to use it to work in the lives of our students, staff, and families.

As we prayerfully considered the updated cell phone policy for this year, our spiritual theme made it abundantly clear what the right decision was. Thank you, parents, for the overwhelming support and encouragement we have received in this decision. The research shows that unhealthy cell phone and smart device use is in direct opposition to a posture of stillness before the Lord. We know it is not a coincidence that God led us to this spiritual theme for the year and also to this decision to update our cell phone policy.  

For the first quarter, our spiritual theme emphasizes that we can “be still in our minds” through knowing that God is exalted and fully in control. Let's look to the Lord with confidence and open our eyes to the glorious things that He is doing in our midst.
