Merry Christmas, McAlder Campus!

December 10, 2024
By Tina DeVries, Interim Principal

Merry Christmas!

We’ve just been singing praises to Jesus over here at McAlder! With our seventh and final Christmas program in the books, I can attest that the gospel message rings loud and clear. While we witness AMAZING talent through singing, acting, and dancing, there is no mistaking WHO it is all about: Jesus!

Can we even comprehend it? The sovereign Creator of the universe sent the most perfect gift, His Son, to Earth to be the Savior of the world — for you, for me, for us, and for all who believe! While I was listening to our students sing today, it occurred to me that gifts are chosen specifically for a person. That is what gives them meaning. I can remember some of my favorite gifts given to me by someone I love, and although they have sentimental value to me, to others they could be meaningless. Yet this one gift was chosen for each of us personally and can still be meaningful to all of us collectively! Praise God!

“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’”

—Luke 2:10-11, NIV

Blessings to you!
