Greetings, CCS Community! I’m extremely blessed to be able to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year. I am beyond grateful that you have chosen to partner with us for this academic year. There is so much to be encouraged by with the start of the year. From our all-district staff event on September 2, to student preview events on September 6, to first day of classes on September 7, and to Convocation on September 8, what I observed firsthand and heard multiple times from others can be described as optimism, energy, unity, a return to normalcy, and many more positive dynamics.
I’ve shared a few photos of the events I mentioned as a visual representation of these amazing dynamics. I can’t help but mention that I was more than encouraged not only by the number of people who attended Convocation (an estimated attendance of around 1,000 people), but also by the strong sense of community that was in the air. It was truly a great event to kick off the year.
I hope you feel as blessed as I feel to be a part of the CCS community. I can’t think of a better way to start the year than with our focus on being rooted in God:
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
—Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)
Looking forward to a great year!
