This week, our blog comes to you from several PfC parents who have insights to share about recent and upcoming events at Cascade Christian. We are so thankful for their perspectives and enthusiasm, and we thank God for this wonderful Cascade Christian community.
Jackie Roethel on the Cougar Classic Golf Tournament
CCS is the best, by Par -
*scramble* Golf is truly for everyone. No matter if you have a handicap, or brand new to the sport, golf (scramble style) is a wonderful way to build relationships, share fun experiences, and perhaps learn some humility … I say “Scramble” due to the huge fact that this tournament style format is a sure way to feel like you’ve gotten down the fairways with some confidence, and even perhaps some style.
Thanks to CCS for hosting their golf tournament last Thursday at the beautiful Oki Course at Hawks Prairie. Immense fun was had by the 150+ golfers and 60+ students in raising money for the junior high and high school sports teams.
As a “golfer”–we couldn’t have asked for better weather, location, and company! I’m quite possibly a total sucker as well, you can hardly say no to the students learning sales as they try and entice you to improve your score by accepting donations for their teams to get you further down the fairways … We bought in multiple times, as the student-athletes’ sales tactics were ON POINT!
I always believe that a day on the golf course beats a day in the office – and we thank CCS and MadCap Marketing for once again putting on a great tournament for our CCS sports.

Tara Walker on the PfC Connect Event
In the perfectly lit greenhouse at Knutson Farms, owned by one of our very own CCS families, around 130 parents, students, and admin gathered to kick off the school year as a community, and it was truly special. We snacked, heard a devotional talk, chatted, played a game, and talked all things WATCH D.O.G.S. But the banner moment of the morning was when CCS high school student Noelle Zetterberg passionately and excitedly shared testimony about revival happening at the high school and the power of prayer. She encouraged all of us to invite Jesus into every situation, turning the natural into supernatural. We left the gathering excited and prayerful for this next generation of discerning leaders who are rising up within our own CCS community.
Chris Adams on WATCH D.O.G.S.
As a dad, I'm intrigued to learn how I can step out of my comfort zone and find ways to be more active in my daughter's school experience. I want to engage other parents and create relationships, so my child's Cascade Christian experience feels more like an extension of our family. I want to be intentional with my time and to better understand the opportunities available to participate, so that I can intentionally invest my time and energy.
I'm excited for the WATCH D.O.G.S. program, where I can lean in more, with the hope that my daughter's experience at Cascade Christian is bigger than just her 8:30 to 3:00 school day. Sign up for tomorrow's launch event now to join me!
Kristal Weber on Gospel Tech Workshop
In a world where technology is at our fingertips and at the forefront of our children’s being, let’s prepare our students with healthy ways to navigate technology. Nathan Sutherland does a great job explaining and sharing information and resources that encourage us all to set boundaries around technology. The Gospel Tech Workshop will take place October 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
