Dear Cougar Families,
Our school year is off to an exciting start, and about 200 of our junior high and high school students are currently participating in fall sports! It has been a true pleasure to watch our student-athletes pursue excellence as though they were competing for the Lord and not merely for people.
In the junior high, our baseball, cheer, cross country, and volleyball teams have been working diligently at improving their skills in preparation for what we hope will be successful high school careers. Each team has been experiencing success in their competitions as well.
In the high school, our cross country, cheer, football, girls soccer, boys tennis, and volleyball teams have been competing against opponents from the Nisqually League and neighboring areas while vying for position to advance to league, district, and eventually state playoffs. A couple of highlights through the first half of our fall season would include school records’ being broken by cross country runners Kyrstin Timothy and Noah Mitton, as well as our volleyball team’s boasting an undefeated 10-0 record and earning a top ranking in the state by several publications.
We’ve enjoyed having great crowds at our athletic competitions so far this season, and we hope you’ll consider joining us soon if you haven’t yet.
Elementary athletics is going strong as well, and we’re excited to announce another record-breaking fall season. We are currently hosting 32 soccer teams (KPrep–6th grade) that represent more than 300 athletes! And cross country is off to a hot start with 14 runners. Be on the lookout for upcoming registrations for elementary wrestling and basketball.
