Happy September, friends! The seasons are changing, and the leaves are beginning to turn color and fall from their trees. The lush foliage that we love in the Northwest will soon take its leave (pun intended) until spring. I always find it a bit disheartening when our trees go bare, yet I know that they will faithfully return in all their glory. Beneath the soil, their roots go deep and wide and will bring them to flourishing at just the right time.
Our spiritual theme at Cascade Christian Schools this year is ROOTED. I am excited to see how the Lord will use this theme to teach all of us what it means to be firmly grounded in Him so that we too can flourish!
We are ready! With the help of our director of spiritual formation, Joshua Stines, our teachers are equipped to bring this message in an age-appropriate way even to our toddlers.
Our team also spent last week preparing for the rhythms of the school year—with professional development, curriculum preparation (even for infants and toddlers), deep cleaning, and a resetting of our classrooms and bulletin boards for a fresh start. We look forward to partnering with you throughout this year in the growth and development of your children. My prayer is that as we do, we ALL would flourish and that we would grow in faith and fellowship along the way.
