Celebrating Veterans Day

November 08, 2023
By Carlee Peterson, Principal

Wow! It is hard to believe we have finished the first quarter of the school year. Students have been learning, making friends, leading others, growing in their faith, and of course having fun!

Gazing on God’s Faithfulness: Last week at chapel, I shared a message about God’s faithfulness to Abraham—he was asked to sacrifice his son, Isaac. We were reminded that God, the Father, gave His one and only Son, Jesus, to be the perfect sacrifice for us. Let’s be grateful for God’s faithfulness to forgive us and to save us from our sins. Let’s also watch for all the ways God is faithful to us each day.

Veterans Day: Over the past couple of weeks, students have been completing various projects to honor, thank, and remember our veterans. One of these projects was to write letters to those who so faithfully serve or have served our country. Other projects included drawing pictures for veterans and reading stories of their dedication.

Today, we had the privilege of honoring our veterans with a special Veterans Day Chapel. We took this time to remember the sacrifice they’ve given, the courage they’ve shown, and their example of selflessness for our country. We sang songs, worshiped, and prayed!

Veterans, thank you for serving!
