Celebrating Veterans Day

November 06, 2024
By Carlee Peterson, Principal

Wow! It is hard to believe we have finished the first quarter of the school year. Students have been learning, making friends, leading others, growing in their faith, and of course, having fun!

Veterans Day

Tomorrow, we have the privilege of honoring our veterans with a special Veterans Day Chapel. We will take time to remember the example, courage, and sacrifice that has been given for our country. As we reflect on the service of many, let’s not forget the words of Jesus, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” John 15:13, NIV. As we celebrate this Veterans Day, let’s pause to remember and thank those who have served and who currently serve our country. Let’s continue to pray that those who serve will do it with a commitment to God and our country.

Veterans, we are thankful for your service!

This month we get to learn what it means to know and trust in God’s sovereignty. He is in control of all things! I am thankful that I can be still knowing that God weaves everything together for good for his children. This means he uses everything in our lives, even the hard stuff, for our good. I believe it is important to remember that the “good” in this verse does not refer to earthly comfort or everything always being good. What is good is that God uses everything in our life to make us more like Christ!
