Christmas is in full swing at the Puyallup Elementary campus. As I’ve walked around campus, the joy of the Lord is in every smiling face I see. I love how the spirit of Christmas shines through the artistic creations and art projects. Our programs were amazing and shared the true meaning of Christmas. We are thankful for all the Christmas blessings that your families have shown us. And we are thankful to have the opportunity to share in each classroom the story of Christ’s birth.
As I’ve reflected on the past several weeks, I stand amazed at the valuable lessons and timely reminders that God has graced me with. I have been reminded that God is good, He is sovereign, His mercies are new every morning, He is faithful, and He loves us so much more than we can imagine. This month, our spiritual theme is “Seek God with Patience.”
God extends His patience to us daily and sets an example for how we should have patience in our lives. I was reminded this past week that patience is the ability to accept delay, suffering, or annoyance without complaining or becoming angry. We are called to be patient and wait on the Lord and His timing in all areas of our lives. We are called to be patient in suffering and to count it as joy.
As we enter this Christmas season, I pray we can see all the ways God has been good to us. Jesus came to rescue us from our sin. He lived the perfect life we cannot. In God’s sovereign plan, He calls us to himself. He extends grace and mercy and has made a way for us to be forgiven of our sin. We marvel at the birth of Christ, we are thankful for His death on the cross, and we wait patiently for His return!
We pray your family will rest in the great work the Lord has done, and we pray your family will experience lots of love and many blessings this Christmas!
Merry Christmas from all of us at Puyallup Elementary!
See you in the New Year!
