Frederickson Campus Happenings

February 07, 2024
By Annie Pichot and Kevin Proctor, Frederickson Elementary Principals

Can you believe that we are already in the second half of the year? I am so encouraged by the growth our students have shown since the beginning of school and look forward to seeing them continue developing in our 4 Pillars: Academic Excellence, Leadership Development, Personal Character Development, and Spiritual Formation.

On Wednesday, February 7, students were honored for their achievements and hard work during our 2nd Quarter Honors Chapel, with awards like the Community Service Award, the Seeking God Award, and the Outstanding Achievement Award. Parents came to celebrate their students during this special event. Students who showed exemplary behavior in our 3Rs (Respect, Responsibility, Relationship) were also honored, with parents invited onto the stage to give their children a special pin in recognition of their accomplishments.

We’re excited for a couple more events coming up at Frederickson this month. We have our Valentine’s Day Bake Sale happening on Wednesday, February 14. We love seeing our community come together to make and purchase fun treats that put a smile on our students’ faces! In addition to this, we have our next Frederickson Family Fun Night at the ice-skating rink on Friday, February 23, at 7:15–9:30 p.m. This PfC-hosted event at Sprinker Recreation Center is another demonstration of our commitment to building community and fellowship with each other. These events have become a priority for our Frederickson Campus this school year as we seek to be intentional with our love for one another. For as we read in Romans 12:10–13, we are to “be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”

Let us always strive to serve the Lord and others in this way!
