Making Room for Growth is a $10 million capital campaign solving urgent needs by creating enough space for all to attend CCS. To make room, classrooms need to be added to our junior high building, and athletic fields need to be expanded and upgraded, allowing the mission of CCS to grow for current and future enrollment increases. Educational and athletic facility experts Jeff Brown Architecture and Absher Construction have designed phase 2 of the junior high building and have created a master plan for the Fields of Dreams.

We believe that God is calling us to begin construction now on the next phase of the junior high building and to upgrade our outdoor secondary athletics facilities into an outdoor sports complex.

Phase 2 of the junior high school is a 19,000 SQ FT classroom wing constructed on the north side of the first phase and is expected to cost $6.5 million. It includes 12 classrooms (3 core subject and 3 STEM labs, finished on the lower floor; 6 additional upstairs in the future), 4 restrooms (2 now and 2 in the future), an administrative office, a lobby, and an elevator. Construction on the core and shell of the classrooms is scheduled to begin in December, with the goal of finishing out the bottom floor by Fall 2022.

Fields of Dreams

Fields of Dreams is a phased approach to the outdoor athletics component of CCS’s Making Room for Growth campaign. The first phase includes an artificial turf football/soccer/lacrosse field, a synthetic 8-lane rubber track, track and field components, lighting, sound, scoreboard, public restrooms, concessions, storage, and covered stadium-style seating for 900 people. Fields of Dreams will provide the outdoor space needed to meet the current and future capacity needs of CCS student-athletes, maximizing that space to expand the mission of CCS in our community, boost enrollment, and allow for the best stewardship of our resources both now and in future years. The first phase is expected to cost $3.5 million and if funded, phased occupancy could begin in Fall 2022. Future phases include artificial turf baseball and fastpitch infields; a shared artificial turf or grass outfield large enough for football, soccer, or lacrosse; and tennis courts.

If you have already made a gift to Making Room for Growth, thank you for your generosity. If not, there is always time to contribute to this important work. CCS students need your help and support. Every $5,000 given makes room for one more student, providing the space needed for students to thrive at Cascade Christian ... next year and every year after that.
