CCS KPrep Athletics

We are excited for our little Cougs to participate in sports!  KPrep offerings include soccer, basketball and baseball. Kids will learn teamwork, build skills, and burn off energy while making friends and having a blast. 

2026 KPrep Soccer (Fall)

Registration for the 2026 fall soccer season will close on August 12, 2026.

Season: September–November    

Practices: Practices begin in early September and will be held at both the Frederickson and McAlder Campuses (depending on age), with 1–2 practices per week, dates and times to be determined. Players from different campuses may need to be combined to form a team. In the case of a combined team, the practice location may change. Please note: The start of practices may be delayed due to families traveling for the summer. 

Games: Games are on Saturdays only and will be played at the CCS McAlder Campus. Dates below are for the Fall 2026 season:

  • October 24
  • October 31

Please note dates may be subject to change.

Cost: $125 (includes soccer jersey and shorts)

Equipment: Soccer cleats, shin guards, practice socks, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, soccer ball

Eligibility Requirements: 

For the 2026–2027 school year, all athletes participating in sports through the ENL (Elementary Nisqually League) must be enrolled at Cascade Christian Schools. This policy applies to cross country (XC), track & field, soccer, volleyball, flag football, and 1st–6th grade recreational basketball.

This policy does not apply to competition cheer, tackle football, baseball, elite basketball, KPrep athletics, or summer camps.

2025-2026 Basketball (Winter)

Registration for basketball is closed for the 2025-2026 winter season.

Season: January–March

Format: Coed, 4x4 (Internal)

Practice-play: 30-minute practices, followed by a 30-minute game (Saturday mornings)

Tentative game schedule — subject to change. 

KPrep practice/games will be held at the CCS Junior High/High School gyms on Saturdays or at CCS Puyallup Early Learning Center. Each session includes a team practice followed immediately by a game, giving young athletes the opportunity to apply new skills right away. 

Cost: $90

Includes uniforms, referee fees, equipment replacement, and administrative expenses. 

2026 Baseball (Spring)

Registration for 2026 spring baseball has closed. While we cannot guarantee your placement on a team, we may have room for your athlete depending on their grade, as well as a waitlist your athlete can be placed on in the case of cancellations. Season: March-May

League: Puyallup Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken Baseball League

League age is determined by the child's age as of April 30th, 2026.

Cost: (includes baseball shirt and hat)

  • T-Ball: $85
  • Coach Pitch: $95
Divisions:

Co-ed T-Ball: Ages 4-5 (first year playing):

T-ball introduces players to baseball fundamentals and to the concept of team play. This is a non-competitive division where players hit off a batting tee, which will be adjusted to a height that allows the batter to swing level. All players present for the game will bat in order and will alternate positions in the field (no sitting). The primary goal is to begin teaching young players the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment while having fun. Scores are not officially recorded.

  • Safety balls are used in practice and games.
  • Players will have one hour and fifty minutes of game time.
  • Managers/Coaches are in the field of play to help/instruct players.
  • The defensive inning is over when the entire lineup has had an at-bat.

For athletes 5 years of age, we recommend playing T-Ball if this is their first time playing baseball! Coach pitch is also an option, but they will need to have played one year of T-Ball prior to starting Coach Pitch.

Co-ed Coach Pitch: Ages 5 (1 yr T-ball required) - 6 years

Coach pitch is one step up from T-ball and will prepare players for our Rookies division by expanding on baseball fundamentals. Coaches will pitch to their own teams and scores will be recorded.

  • There will be six innings per game or a time cap of one hour and fifty minutes.
  • Every batter gets 6 pitches.  There are no swinging or called strikes; the batter is out after six pitches if ball is not put into play.  The at-bat continues if the sixth pitch (or subsequent pitches) is fouled off.
  • There will be four outfielders and a full infield.  Players will play both infield and outfield innings with the maximum of one inning on the bench per game.
  • Coaches bat the bench; all players will bat the entire game.
  • The defensive inning is over when three outs or five runs are recorded.

For athletes 5 years of age, Coach Pitch is also an option! However, an athlete of 5 years will need to have played 1 year of T-ball prior to starting Coach Pitch.
