Baseball (Spring)

Registration is now closed for the 2025 spring sports season!!

It's time for some little Cougs to learn the sport of baseball! We are excited to announce that for the 2025 elementary baseball season, we will be competing in the Puyallup Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken Baseball league!

League age is determined by the child's age as of April 30th, 2025.

Co-ed T-Ball: Ages 4-5 (first year playing)

Cost: $100 (includes baseball shirt and hat)

Season: Mid-March to Early June

Practices: 1-2 Practices a week. When games begin, all teams move to one practice a week. Puyallup and McAlder teams will practice at the McAlder Campus and Frederickson teams will practice at the Frederickson Campus.

Equipment: Glove, Water bottle, Weather-appropriate clothing, Batting helmet (if you have one), Baseball cleats (optional), Bat (optional)

T-Ball provides basic fundamentals of the game and introduces players to the concept of team play. This is a non-competitive division where players hit off a batting tee which is adjusted to a height that allows the batter to swing level. All  players present for the game will bat in order and alternate positions in the field (no sitting). The primary goal is to begin to instruct young players in the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment while having fun.  Scores are not officially recorded.

  • Safety balls are used in practice and games.
  • 1 hour and 50 minute game time to have as much fun as you can.
  • Managers/Coaches are in the field of play to help/instruct players.
  • Defensive inning is over when the entire lineup has had an at-bat.

Co-ed Coach Pitch: Ages 5 (1 yr T-ball required) - 6 years

Cost: $100 (includes baseball shirt and hat)

Season: Mid-March to Early June

Practices: 1-2 Practices a week. When games begin, all teams move to one practice a week. Puyallup and McAlder teams will practice at the McAlder Campus and Frederickson teams will practice at the Frederickson Campus.

Equipment: Glove, Water bottle, Weather-appropriate clothing, Batting helmet (if you have one), Baseball cleats (optional), Bat (optional)

Coach pitch is one step up from Tball and prepares players for our Rookies Division by teaching even more of the fundamentals of baseball. Coaches will pitch to their own teams and scores are recorded.

  • 6 innings or 1hr 50 min time limit
  • Batter gets 6 pitches.  There are no swinging or called strikes, batter is out after 6 pitches if ball is not put into play.  The at-bat continues if the 6th pitch (or subsequent pitches) are fouled off.
  • 4 outfielders and full infield.  Players will play both infield and outfield innings with one inning max on the bench per game.
  • Coaches at the bench, all players bat the entire game.
  • Defensive inning is over when 3 outs or 5 runs is recorded.

Basketball (Winter)

It’s time for some little Cougs to learn the sport of basketball in a practice-play format. This format allows young athletes to play on a team and compete against other CCS KPrep teams while keeping it fun and streamlining the schedule for busy families!

KPrep practice/games will be held at the CCS Junior High gym on Saturday mornings. This format includes a team practice that transitions into a game directly after. At this young age, the opportunity to implement what they worked on in practice directly into a game is a great way to learn basketball.

KPrep (co-ed):

Cost: $85

Practice-Play: 30-minute practices, 30-minute games

Season: January–March

The onetime fee will cover uniforms, equipment, and practice facilities.

Registration for KPrep Basketball is full!

Soccer (Fall)

Fall soccer registration is no longer open for the 2024 season!
