As the beauty of spring begins to bloom around us, we are reminded of the new life, growth, and joy that this season brings. At our early learning center, spring is always a special time as we watch our students continue to grow academically, socially, and spiritually each day. Their laughter fills our hallways, their curiosity inspires us, and their progress is a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness.
We are especially excited as we begin preparing for our KPrep Spring Promotion Programs, where we will celebrate the accomplishments of our students and the next steps in their educational journeys. These special performances will be held in the PELC gym on the following dates:
June 3
• Tigers @4:30 p.m.
June 4
• AM & PM Cheetahs @11:00 a.m.
• AM & PM Leopards @1:00 p.m.
• Lions, Crocodiles, and Zebras @3:00 p.m.
• Giraffes @4:30 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming families to honor these precious children and all they have achieved this year.
We would also like to recognize National Administrative and After-School Professionals Week by celebrating the dedicated staff who serve our students and families so faithfully. A heartfelt thank-you goes to our front office team, Ms. Paula Magin and Ms. Crystal Ford, whose kindness and support bless our campus daily. We also celebrate our amazing enrichment teachers—Ms. Danielle Wester, Ms. Tracy Nelson, and Ms. Julia VanderPol—for the joy, creativity, and care they bring to our students each week.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” —1 Corinthians 16:14 (ESV)
Thank you for being part of our PELC family. We are grateful for all God is doing in this season and look forward to celebrating together soon!
And in honor of National Poetry Month…
A Gentle Whisper
By Grace Harvey
A gentle wind whispers through the daisies
Lay down lay down
Your fear
Lay down lay down
That’s the only thing you hear
A mighty storm approaches the horizon
You hear the whisper again
Slow down slow down
It’s okay to take a while
Slow down slow down
Take time to smile
A gale rips through your hair
You hear the whisper again
You’re safe you’re safe
I’m here my child
You’re safe you’re safe
I died to save you, my love for you is wild
To Read
By Isabel Sherwood
To read is to live a thousand lives and die a thousand deaths. To love with the lovers and weep with the grievers. To conquer with the courageous and bleed out with the wounded. To see the wonders of a thousand worlds; to hear the melody of a thousand stories. To see the most disgraceful of the wicked; to hear a thousand cries of anguish from the innocent. But to stop reading is to be torn from life, and to never read is to never live at all.
