Greetings, Cougar Community!
Are you one to get into the Christmas spirit before Thanksgiving, or do you adamantly declare that Thanksgiving deserves its day before Christmas takes over? What is your tradition? Is there anyone out there who pulls out the Christmas tree and decorations the day after Thanksgiving to decorate while watching a Christmas movie? When our children were small, our day-after-Thanksgiving movie was The Muppets Christmas Carol (imagine nostalgic music here …).
Regardless of your dogma about these two competing holidays, Christmas is definitely coming! We are SO looking forward to the opportunity to gather together for our ELC Christmas programs to watch our little ones with awe and wonder as they sing and proclaim the glory of heaven, sent to us in the form of a baby to redeem the world. Mark your calendars for December 9 in the gymnasium, and plan to bring your cameras! The schedule is as follows:
10:00 a.m. – Leopards
3:00 p.m. – Lions, Elephants, Tigers
5:00 p.m. – Crocodiles, Zebras, Giraffes
We are excited to host our Scholastic Book Fair the week of our programs—December 7 through 10—so bring your Christmas list and plan to support our center by purchasing books for your child’s classroom, friends, and family! All proceeds will go to enhance classroom libraries.
JOY to the world, the Lord has come!
