Welcome Back to School!

Welcome to the first day of the 2023-2024 school year! The children’s excitement is almost tangible, and I am truly looking forward to all the learning, laughing, and growing that our young students will experience this year!
As I reflect on this year’s spiritual theme—Seek God—the familiar childhood game Hide and Seek comes to mind. The point, obviously, is for one person to search high and low for the person who is trying not to be found. Children have so much fun playing this game because of the anticipation of finding the one who is hidden. Similarly, what joy it is to seek after the Lord in order to experience all that comes in a relationship with Him.
This year, we want to teach our students that the Lord can guide us in decisions we need to make regarding friends, school, family, and any problem that comes our way. Helping our children remember that the Lord’s guidance is crucial in all we do will develop their confidence in knowing that Jesus is always with them and is interested in every part of their lives. As with all matters of education, our teachers and parents must seize the moments throughout the day to teach children to seek the Lord. He delights in being in close relationship with all who know Him!
We look forward to celebrating as a Puyallup Early Learning community at our Back-to-School Night on Friday, September 15, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
