As we step into this Christmas season, our campus is bursting with excitement and joyful moments that remind us why this time of year is so meaningful. Everywhere you look, Christmas is all around us as students sing familiar carols, our office and classrooms are decorated with festive cheer, and conversations are filled with stories of family traditions. In the school lobby, there are Christmas trees made from students’ handprints that display what they are thankful for this holiday season. Above all, we are preparing to celebrate the birth of Christ, the true reason for the season, which fills our community with hope and a beautiful sense of togetherness.
We kicked off our celebrations with our annual Christmas Chapel today, where we worshipped together and reflected on the true meaning of Christmas. Next Wednesday, December 17, our campus will come alive with our Christmas performances. Grades K–2 and 3–5 will both have a matinee and an evening program, giving families multiple opportunities to enjoy the creativity, hard work, and Christmas cheer our students have poured into their productions.
The excitement continues with Christmaspalooza on Friday, December 19, which is one of our cherished traditions at Frederickson. Students will shop the student-run Christmas marketplace using their hard-earned classroom economy bucks. This experience always brings big smiles and even bigger surprises as they carefully choose gifts for family, friends, and teachers. Students sell all types of fun things, from homemade baked goods to 3D printed items and even handmade trinkets. And don’t forget it’s also Color Wars with Christmas accessories! We can’t wait to see students showing off their Cougar spirit mixed with festive Christmas fun for a chance to welcome the Frederickson Cougar to their classroom and earn a celebration after break.
Our families make this season shine even brighter, and there are so many wonderful ways to get involved. Volunteers are welcome to join us for the Festival of Trees, where beautifully decorated Christmas trees will display the ornaments created by our students. Our beloved Holiday Cookies tradition will also return, providing every child with a festive treat after the evening performances. And for those looking to bless our staff, we have “All About Me” forms ready with thoughtful gift ideas to help you celebrate the incredible team who invests so much in our students.
This month is truly one of the most joyful times on our campus, filled with fun, celebration, and opportunities to see God at work. As we experience the energy and excitement of the season, may we also be reminded that we are people Called for a Purpose to love well, serve wholeheartedly, and shine the light of Jesus wherever we go. We look forward to celebrating with you all month long!
