Jr High Campus Blog
Throughout the 2021-22 school year, we are highlighting the MVPs of our campus—the teachers! We are truly blessed to have teachers that first and foremost love Jesus and seek to live for Him. Furthermore, our teachers are committed to providing an exceptional education that is focused on developing discerning leaders who will impact their world. It is truly an honor and a privilege to work alongside these professionals who truly know and care for our students. Without further ado, meet our Bible and English Departments.
This team of godly men is committed to teaching our students about who Jesus is, how much He loves them, and what a life walking with Christ looks like.
This esteemed yet fun group of teachers is dedicated to training students to critically analyze texts and creatively articulate deep levels of understanding and application through their writing.
Next time you see any of our Bible or English teachers, please say hello and thank them for a job well done.
CCS Family!
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Over the break, our HS varsity cheer team traveled to Orlando, Florida, to compete in the FCC National Christian Cheerleading Championships … and WE WON! The team took home the trophy as the Non-Tumbling Varsity FCC National Champions. In addition to this team championship, we had several others win their respective individual and duo competitions as well:
This team has overcome incredible adversity this year and truly been unshakeable in the pursuit of their goal to qualify, attend, and place at FCC Nationals. Their focus now shifts to local-level competitions and the upcoming WIAA State Championship competitions. Please join me in both celebrating what they’ve accomplished so far and covering them in prayer as they press forward.
You’re invited! We’d love to have you out to an upcoming basketball game or wrestling match. Please consider joining us on February 1 to celebrate our senior basketball players as they take on East Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. (Girls) and 7:00 p.m. (Boys). Our next wrestling home dual meet is on January 26 against Klahowya at 6:00 p.m. in our new gym.
GO COUGS!
It’s 2022 and everyone at the junior high and high school is excited for the new year. We anticipate a year focused on exalting Christ and creating opportunities for our students to begin cultivating their relationship with our Lord and Savior.
In Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, he writes in chapter 3, verses 6 to 9 (NASB):
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. Now the one who plants and the one who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
This year, our teachers, coaches, staff, and administration seek to be God’s fellow workers. We humbly accept the calling to plant and water seeds in the hearts of our students and will pray that God causes growth.
There are two exciting events coming up in 2022, and we are anticipating that God will move in a big way. The first of these events is Spiritual Emphasis Week (March 7-11), and shortly after is I-Term (March 28-April 1). Please join us in praying that these events are impactful for our students.
Lastly, Open House is January 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please invite anyone you know who may be interested in joining the Cougar Family.
