There is something so special about the beginning of a new school year! Our classrooms are ready, our teachers have been preparing and praying, and our early learning team is so excited to welcome our children and families back.

As we begin this new year, my hope is that every child who walks through our doors knows that they are loved and created by God for a purpose. I pray our classrooms will be places filled with joy, curiosity, friendship, growth, and plenty of opportunities to experience the love of Jesus.

Our theme this year, Made New, comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” What a beautiful reminder as we step into a new school year together: new classrooms, new friendships, new routines, and new opportunities to grow, all while remembering that Christ is continually at work in us.

One of my favorite parts of early learning is the partnership we get to build with our families. We truly believe that you are an important part of our community, and we want to begin the year together! Please join us for our Back-to-School Kickoff & Parent Orientation on Friday, September 11, here at the center. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, explore the classroom, learn more about the year ahead, and spend time connecting with our early learning community. We would love to see you there!

My prayer for this year is that God would bless our children, families, and staff, give our teachers wisdom and joy, and allow Puyallup Early Learning Center to be a place where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We are so excited to see you and to begin another wonderful year together. Welcome back, early learning families. We can’t wait to see what God has in store!

Convocation: Join us for our All-District Convocation on Saturday, September 12, from 4:00–6:30 p.m. at Pioneer Campus! We’ll begin indoors with worship and prayer, then head outside for food and activities. We’re ready for a great evening of community!

RSVP today to preorder your meal from Brank’s BBQ. Meals will have a small cost this year, but hot dogs for kids of all ages are free with an RSVP!

Watch D.O.G.S.: Calling all fathers and father figures! Join us for our WATCH D.O.G.S.® launch event on Tuesday, September 8, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the JH/HS Forum Deo Gloria (PAC). This is a dads and kids event, and pizza will be served; RSVP now!

Cougar Classic: Get your golfing friends together and register for the Cougar Classic on September 17 at 9:00 a.m. Choose the competitive Woodlands Course to test your skills against CCS student golfers or enjoy the original Links Course with cheater packs and interactive games. All proceeds support CCS student-athletes.
