He is risen! He is risen, indeed!
That was our message to our students on Monday at All School Opening (ASO) as we set our minds on Jesus and his perfect sacrifice for us during Holy Week. Students celebrated the Easter story by reflecting on gospel-centered passages while having devotions and deep discussions with their teachers about the magnitude of this historical event and what it means for us today.
All students had the opportunity to worship together in song and enjoy a special video that highlighted the Easter story. In addition, each class had special Easter projects led by homeroom teachers for further reflection and remembrance of how much God loves us. May we always remember the sacrifice made by King Jesus on the cross nearly 2,000 years ago so that one day we can be reunited with Him for all eternity.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
—Isaiah 53:5, NIV
This week we also have the privilege of honoring several teams that make Frederickson a great campus. A BIG shout-out to our amazing office team and all the hard work they put into helping everything run smoothly. From connecting with families to keeping our principals organized and caring for owies at recess, this team comes ready to serve week in and week out. We are blessed to have them!
Another team that works hard to ensure that our students have a safe, fun, and supportive environment before and after school is our Cougar Club team. We are grateful for their dedication to enhancing student experiences and providing enrichments that are an extension of the classroom.
Lastly, I want to take the time to say THANK YOU to one of our own who does not get enough credit for all that he does. Mr. Proctor not only is the most amazing AP (assistant principal) in the history of APs (he may have hinted for me to say this) but also loves the Lord and our students, which shows in everything he does. His wisdom, leadership, and passion to serve others has had a positive impact at Frederickson. He is dedicated to being a godly leader that inspires those around him to always give their best. We are grateful for him, his hard work, and his dedication to Christan education and excellence!
