The month of February comes with so many fun moments for our students and parents. Our students participated in our 2nd Quarter Experiences, which included competing in an obstacle course, jumping in a bounce house, and even showing off some new dance moves in our very own glow party! To participate, students purchased these experiences with the class economy dollars they earned from their teacher through having demonstrated the 3Rs—Respect, Responsibility, Relationship.
At the glow party, students were able to challenge a friend in fun games such as bowling, corn hole, and tic-tac-toe—all glow-in-the-dark style, of course! The obstacle course provided an opportunity for students to have friendly competition and challenge themselves in different events. We all had so much fun!
For the parents, we kicked off our month with a PfC meeting on February 7. Those who came got plugged into Frederickson, connected with families, and got to know the happenings on campus! Right after that we had our 2nd quarter Honor’s Chapel, a time when we got to celebrate our students and their achievements.
Let’s not forget that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so we are gearing up for our Valentine’s bake sale! A few other upcoming opportunities for parents are the Safe Tech at Home Workshop with Nathan Sutherland (Wednesday, February 15) and the Relationships in the Home Workshop with Cornelia Thomas (Thursday, March 2). Register soon for these free amazing workshops recommended for CCS 4th through 12th grade families.
We are grateful for these moments in which we can connect and celebrate with our families. Thank you all for your support and for being a part of our Frederickson community. We are better together when we are ROOTED in Christ!
