Who we are:
The Cougar Cares Project (CCP) is McAlder’s donation-based benevolence program. It is a parent-led project founded by a collaboration of McAlder families coming together during times of crisis to support Cascade Christian families and students.
What we do:
Seasons of hardship, sickness, or tragedy can affect anyone at any time. We here at McAlder want to be proactive for our families instead of reactive when tragedy strikes. The CCP assists and supports our McAlder families in crisis through prayer, encouragement, meal trains, and financial support.
How we raise funds to support the CCP:
We host two annual fundraisers to support the needs of the CCP.
- Giving Tree: In the lobby during the Christmas season, you will find a giving tree filled with tags for gift cards. We ask our families to pick up tags, fulfill the need, and return the item to main office. The gift cards will be kept in a safe and distributed throughout the year to our McAlder families in times of crisis.
- Christmas Bake Sale: Our CCP Christmas Bake Sale is a fun-filled event. Families from our community donate delicious goodies to sell, and all proceeds from the bake sale go to the Cougar Cares Project.
How we know where needs are:
At McAlder, we are more than a school; we are a family! We rely on parents, teachers, classroom support managers, and staff to let us know when there is a need. All information is confidential unless the family approves of the need being shared.

As Christ-followers and parents, we want to show our kids what it means to love with our words and our deeds. The CCP is just one way we serve McAlder families.
