Welcome back from midwinter break!

I hope you were able to enjoy some quality time with your family and recharge. It's hard to believe we’re already more than halfway through the school year—just four months left! Time really does fly. As I reflect on the first half of the year and look ahead, I’m filled with gratitude for all the growth and progress we’ve seen.

Our students and staff have put in tremendous effort to grow academically, setting goals and working hard to achieve them. At the intermediate level, students have set personal growth goals, focusing on key areas like math and reading, and they are making great strides. Our teachers have continued to get creative in our space, running more small groups and adapting their lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students. I’m confident we will continue to see incredible progress as we move through the rest of the year.

In addition to academic growth, we are equally committed to fostering personal development. We are so grateful for our wonderful school counselor, who has been instrumental in supporting students both individually and in small groups. Recently, she led valuable lessons on topics like gratitude, apologizing and forgiving, and body safety. We look forward to the continued growth our students will experience through these important lessons.

Spiritually, we continue to deepen our understanding of what it means to Be Still. Over the past month, our focus has been on God as our source of joy. We’ve learned that joy, unlike happiness, is not dependent on our circumstances but is a character trait that can sustain us—even during challenging times. The more we draw near to God, the more joy we will experience in our lives.

At CCS, we are passionate about nurturing future leaders. This month, our fifth and sixth grade students participated in Junior Achievement, where they had the opportunity to step into real-world roles such as CEOs, CFOs, managers, and sales representatives. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to develop practical skills and get a glimpse into the world of work.

As we approach the final months of the school year, we remain committed to supporting our students’ growth—academically, socially, spiritually, and as leaders. We are excited to see how they will continue to impact those around them and share the love of Christ in everything they do.
