Wrapping Up a Remarkable Year: Reflections on “Be Still”

May 28, 2025
By Carlee Peterson, Principal

As the school year draws to a close, we pause to reflect on all that has happened, all that has been learned, and the many ways God has shown Himself faithful. Our theme this year, Be Still, has been more than just a phrase; it has become a posture of our hearts.

This year didn’t unfold in exactly the way we planned, but, in many ways, that’s what made it beautiful. We have learned to Be Still in moments of uncertainty, to wait on God's perfect timing, and to trust in His plan for our school community. Through every change and every challenge, we have seen His hand at work.

Our students have grown—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. They have tackled new challenges, formed new friendships, and deepened their understanding of what it means to trust in God. Our teachers and staff have risen to the occasion, learning new methods, adapting to new situations, and walking in faith each step of the way.

God has been our strength when we were weary, our joy in every celebration, and our peace in the unknown. He has gone before us and stood beside us. Truly, He has been our defender, our source of help, and our unshakable foundation. Through it all, He has been exalted in our midst.

As we look ahead to next year, we do so with hopeful hearts and open hands, knowing the same God who has been with us will continue to lead us forward. We are excited for all that is to come, and we remain committed to the quiet strength that comes from choosing to Be Still in Him.

Before we officially close the year, we invite you to join us for a few special events:

End of Year Family Picnic – Thursday, June 5

Field Day – Monday, June 9

Kindergarten & Sixth Grade Graduation and Promotion – Tuesday, June 10

Last Day Awards Ceremony – Wednesday, June 11

Let’s finish this year well—celebrating God’s goodness, each other, and the journey we’ve shared. And, as we head into summer, may we continue to Be Still, finding rest in the presence of the One who holds all things together.
