Fall Athletics Update

October 16, 2024
By CCS Athletics

Cougar families,

Our school year is off to an exciting start, and over 150 of our high school students are currently participating in fall sports! Our cross country, cheer, football, girls soccer, boys tennis, and volleyball teams have been competing against opponents from the Nisqually League and neighboring areas while vying for position to advance to district and state playoffs. A few highlights through the first half of our fall season include new school records for cross country runner Kyrstin Timothy, our volleyball team racking up wins over local 4A schools on their way to a #3 ranking in the state, and our boys tennis team beginning the year undefeated (10-0)!

In junior high, we are wrapping up our fall sports of volleyball, baseball, and cross country. The Cougars have been representing well in the Middle Nisqually League, and we are excited for the winter boys and girls basketball seasons to begin October 28!

Elementary Athletics’ fall sports season is off to a great start! We currently have more than 300 kids, KPrep–grade 6, registered to play fall soccer. Additionally, we held our third cross country meet on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at the Pioneer Campus. The weather was perfect, and the athletes shined brightly. Close to 200 athletes from CCS and many other schools in the Elementary Nisqually League, grades K–6, competed in races throughout the day. Family members and friends of the athletes also showed up to cheer them on. Overall, it was a great meet, and we’re looking forward to the next one on October 20.

Many of you have been able to join us at one of our recent athletic events to cheer on the Cougars, and we hope many more of you will get that opportunity soon. Thanks for supporting our student athletes!

GO COUGS!
