Harvest and Homecoming

Fall is in the air, and Homecoming season is in full swing! Our high schoolers celebrated their Surf’s Up-themed homecoming dance over the weekend, and they are bringing the school spirit this week with all kinds of fun spirit day themes.
The CCS community loves to honor nearly 2,000 CCS alumni during Homecoming season. This year, we will have the Alumni Night Football Game on Saturday, October 19, 7:00 p.m., at Sunset Stadium. Upon arrival, CCS alums will receive a complimentary hand-crafted drink from Fortitude Coffee (a CCS alumni family company—Go Cougs!). Drinks will be available to purchase for game attendees as well! There will also be a fun halftime opportunity for the bravest alumni to participate in. Go ahead and start praying for our fearless volunteers—let the divine intervention begin!
As we embrace the fall season by celebrating alumni and Homecoming festivities, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness from generation to generation. I’m praying Ephesians 3:20-21 over each of our households: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” The time of harvest is now, and I pray it goes beyond our favorite pumpkin patches and into our classrooms, homes, and beyond!
