Thriving in Community
“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” –I Corinthians 12:27, NIV
It has been such a privilege to head up the PfC on our McAlder Campus this school year. It blesses my heart so big to help bring people together for a shared cause. The cause is that of supporting our children and our school community—comprised of staff members, small-business owners, full-time career parents, work-from-home parents, grandparents, homemakers, athletes, scholars, introverts, extroverts, and everything in between—in a way that honors God.
As the body of Christ at Cascade Christian, we have a unique blend of time, talents, and treasures on each of our campuses and in our community. Witnessing so many people intentionally utilizing their giftings further confirms what a truly special place Cascade Christian is. We are all better together, and this year is such a testimony to that.
In a society filled with so much self-focus, I’m grateful to be in a school community that sets itself apart as we serve one another. Thank you to each person who has said, “Yes!” to showing up and serving within our CCS community. I personally value your contribution more than I can adequately express. Because of you, we became more deeply rooted in community, helping us thrive as a school and in turn, giving our children an atmosphere in which they can thrive as well. I can’t wait to see what God has for us next year as we continue to build on the good work He has already begun.
