Christmas Blessings

December 10, 2025
By Carlee Peterson, Principal

December is here, and with it comes a season filled with joy, anticipation, and, if we’re honest… a lot of busyness. Our to-do lists seem to grow longer every day. Christmas shopping needs to be finished, festive events have filled the calendar, and then we’re still juggling schoolwork, sports, activities for the kids, ministry commitments, and everyday responsibilities. It’s a wonderful season, but it can also feel full.

In the middle of all the activity, it’s important that we pause and reflect on the many gifts the Lord has given us. We are blessed with an incredible school community—a place where students are loved and supported and where we have the privilege of teaching God’s truth in our classrooms. We are surrounded by family and friends, we have the blessing of being alive, and we can witness the beauty of God's creation!

And above all, we remember the greatest gift ever given: the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Jesus came to rescue us from our sin. He lived the perfect life we cannot. In God’s sovereign plan, He calls us to himself. He extends grace and mercy and has made a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. We marvel at the birth of Christ, we are thankful for His death on the cross, and we wait patiently for His return! Because of Him, we have hope for today and for tomorrow. His presence brings peace into our busyness, joy into our celebrations, and purpose into everything we do.

As we enter this Christmas season, may we slow down long enough to notice His blessings, savor the moments that matter, and rest in the hope that only Jesus provides.

We would also love to have you join us for these upcoming events:

December 17: Christmas Programs in the HS Gym

K–2 @ 6:00 p.m.

3–5 @ 7:30 p.m.

December 18: Christmas Chapel & 6th Grade Band Performance @ 8:45 a.m.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Puyallup Elementary! May your season be filled with joy, peace, and the love of Christ.
