A highlight of the month for us was kicking off and participating in the Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association. We are working with the other two elementary campuses to reach a goal of raising $6,000 to help protect all hearts—especially kids' hearts! Our students are learning how to take care of their hearts and brains while practicing kindness and gratitude, along with being healthy and active. As a bonus, we will have an opportunity to earn new PE equipment for our school.
During PE, Mr. Bloomstine is incorporating “25 Ways to Get Moving” activities. Some of these activities are simple and some are challenging, but the goal of all of them is to MOVE, an action that promotes a healthy heart!
I am excited to share that our campus alone has already raised more than $6,000! Feel free to follow how we are doing, and check out the class leader board by clicking here.
Our challenge will end Friday, February 18. It’s not too late to start!
Be kind and be active.
