It’s a Pleasure to Serve

When we first arrived in Washington nearly six years ago, we were filled with excitement as we became a part of the Cascade Christian Schools community. Over time, this community has truly become a second family to us. I eagerly took on the role of classroom coordinator, ready to serve wherever I could. Within a couple of years, I also joined our PfC leadership team, and I must say, it has been an absolute joy. Collaborating with parents who share the desire to foster a strong sense of community among our students, teachers, and parents has brought countless blessings to our family.

There are numerous moments throughout the year that stand out as highlights. Witnessing parents come together to show their support during Teacher Appreciation Week, watching them step up and assist our students and campus during the Phone-a-thon and auction, and working alongside our awesome parent volunteers during our end-of-year picnic and field day bring me great joy. Personally, I love to welcome new families, have conversation with parents in the halls and playground after school, and see smiles light up faces as we pass out treats during Fun Fridays. PfC sets CCS schools apart by taking our collective desire for connection and community to the next level!

As I look forward to the 2023-24 school year, I am even more excited about the new ways our school will unite to inspire one another, serve hand in hand, and nurture a deeper passion for the spiritual and academic growth of our students. Every time we meet, our PfC team discusses how we can lead more effectively, how to encourage greater family involvement, and whether we are serving well. I personally look forward to growing in each of these areas. It truly is a pleasure to support our PELM families, and I encourage you to join me for the remainder of this year while also considering how you might become more involved in the future. Serving our school is genuinely a privilege, and I sincerely thank you for allowing me to lead.
