Stillness as the School Year Ends

May 28, 2025
By Josh Kristoff, PhD, High School Principal

As we close out the 2025–2026 school year, I want to begin my final update just as I began the first one—with Scripture:

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.
—Psalm 62:1 (ESV)

This verse has been a touchstone for me throughout the year. In a world that moves quickly, and in a school year that always seems to pick up speed as we approach the finish line, it's a powerful reminder of the importance of stillness. At CCS, the end of the year often means our calendars fill up with events, celebrations, and preparations. It’s an exciting season, but it can also be overwhelming.

My prayer for you, our students, families, and staff, is that even in the fullness of this time, you find space to Be Still—to rest in the presence of the Lord, who is our source of peace and strength. He deserves our attention, and your soul will be nourished in His presence.

To the Class of 2025, congratulations! I cannot wait to celebrate with each of you during Commencement on Friday, June 6. To all our CCHS families, thank you for walking through this year with us. I’m so grateful for the community we’ve built, and I look forward to what God will do next year.
