At Cascade Christian Schools, we are all about developing discerning leaders in a culture where people feel known and valued.
To glorify God by providing an excellent Christ-centered education dedicated to developing discerning leaders who are spiritually, personally, and academically prepared to impact their world
Cascade Christian Schools is dedicated to helping students explore and discover their God-given potential.
We are an independent, interdenominational Christian school district serving childcare through grade twelve, where students are provided excellent academics with a biblical worldview, character development and leadership training opportunities, and encouragement in cultivating a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
We serve a wide diversity of communities in Pierce County with campuses in Frederickson, Puyallup, and rural Sumner/Orting, including three early learning centers, three elementary schools, a junior high, and a high school. Our current enrollment is almost 1,800 students—infants through high schoolers.
Cascade Christian Schools is approved by the Washington State Board of Education and accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in partnership with Cognia (formerly AdvancED), a national accreditation organization. Cascade Christian Schools is also affiliated with the Washington Federation of Independent Schools (WFIS).
Cascade Christian Schools’ early learning centers and recreation programs are affiliated with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and with Clover Park Technical College for staff training. The Extended Recreation Department also receives training and professional development opportunities through its memberships in the National AfterSchool Association, School’s Out Washington, and the National Recreation and Park Association.
The Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families licenses Cascade Christian Schools’ Puyallup and Frederickson Early Learning Centers, both of which operate within the requirements set by that department. Additionally, our Puyallup and Frederickson Early Learning Centers participate in Early Achievers, Washington’s quality rating and improvement system (QRIS) administered by the Department of Early Learning. As an Early Achievers participant, we are demonstrating our commitment to offering high-quality childcare and promoting school readiness.
It is with a great deal of excitement and gratitude that we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cascade Christian Schools. Through the visionary leadership of Don and Sue Johnson, three different church-sponsored schools merged to form Cascade Christian Schools. Over the past 30 years, CCS has gained a strong reputation in the Puyallup Valley, the broader Puget Sound region, and even around the world.
The journey of CCS is filled with story after story of God’s amazing blessing and provision. And while elements such as campus expansion and significant growth in enrollment over the years are notable achievements, what is most worthy of celebrating is the number of lives impacted for God’s kingdom and the global impact CCS has had through its IMPACT Term, Biblical Worldview Institute, and alumni serving the Lord around the world.
For 30 years, Cascade Christian Schools has made a distinct and profound impact in literally tens of thousands of lives by helping people discover their purpose before God in a culture where they are known and valued. CCS has developed discerning leaders who are spiritually, personally, and academically prepared to impact their world.
Together, we celebrate 30 wonderful years of God’s goodness. Go, Cougs!
