Division Information

Co-ed T-Ball: Ages 4-5

T-ball introduces players to baseball fundamentals and to the concept of team play. This is a non-competitive division where players hit off a batting tee, which will be adjusted to a height that allows the batter to swing level. All players present for the game will bat in order and will alternate positions in the field (no sitting). The primary goal is to begin teaching young players the fundamentals of baseball in a supportive team environment while having fun. Scores are not officially recorded.

  • Safety balls are used in practice and games.
  • Players will have one hour and fifty minutes of game time.
  • Managers/Coaches are in the field of play to help/instruct players.
  • The defensive inning is over when the entire lineup has had an at-bat.

For athletes 5 years of age, we recommend playing T-Ball if this is their first time playing baseball! Coach pitch is also an option, but they will need to have played one year of T-Ball prior to starting Coach Pitch.

Co-ed Coach Pitch: Ages 5 - 6 years

Coach pitch is one step up from T-ball and will prepare players for our Rookies division by expanding on baseball fundamentals. Coaches will pitch to their own teams, and scores will be recorded.

  • There will be six innings per game or a time cap of one hour and fifty minutes.
  • Every batter gets 6 pitches.  There are no swinging or called strikes; the batter is out after six pitches if ball is not put into play.  The at-bat continues if the sixth pitch (or subsequent pitches) is fouled off.
  • There will be four outfielders and a full infield.  Players will play both infield and outfield innings with the maximum of one inning on the bench per game.
  • Coaches bat the bench; all players will bat the entire game.
  • The defensive inning is over when three outs or five runs are recorded.

For athletes 5 years of age, Coach Pitch is also an option! However, an athlete of 5 years will need to have played 1 year of T-ball prior to starting Coach Pitch.

Rookies (Machine Pitch): Ages 7-8

In Rookies, players move from coach pitch to a pitching machine. By controlling the pitches with a pitching machine, there is more action at the plate and in the field. Since pitches are consistent, the fear of being hit by a pitched ball is diminished, and the player’s playing confidence and abilities can grow stronger. Our Rookies division provides players with a better understanding and concept of baseball, as basic skills are refined and stressed, and kids generally play multiple positions. Scores are officially recorded.

  • Our pitching machine will be set to 40 mph.
  • Each batter gets three swinging strikes or six pitches total before being called out.  At-bat continues if the sixth pitch (or subsequent pitches) is fouled off.
  • Ten defensive players will be utilized.
  • Coaches bat the bench; all players bat the entire game.
  • Each player will play at least two defensive innings.

Minors (10U): Ages 9-10

Our Minors division introduces live pitching, which adds a whole new layer to baseball. Players will become more familiar with new positions, plays will now be made on a consistent basis, and baseball strategies will be introduced. Scores are officially recorded in this division.

  • A pitch count is utilized to protect young pitchers' arms.
  • There will be a regular infield/outfield.
  • Coaches bat the bench; every player bats the entire game.
  • Each player will play at least two defensive innings.
  • The Professional Umpire Association will be hired for each game.

Majors (12U): Ages 11-12

As their skill level increases, players will continue to be challenged in the Majors division. This division is considered advanced play. Play is faster and pitching becomes more consistent and accurate. Strategy becomes an integral part of the game.

  • Pitch count is in effect for pitchers.
  • There will be a 50-foot pitching mound and 70 feet between bases.
  • Majors will learn strategies including (but not limited to):
    • Lead off
    • Steal
    • Balk
  • Coaches bat the bench; every player bats for the entire game.
  • Each player plays at least two defensive innings.
  • The Professional Umpire Association will be hired for each game.
