Boys Tackle Football

For the upcoming fall season, CCS is starting its first ever year of elementary tackle football! In partnership with the junior high and high school programs, we are adding a team for elementary students in grades 5–6 that will participate in the Nisqually Junior Football League (NJFL).

Nisqually Junior Football League (NJFL):

The Nisqually Junior Football League (NJFL) is a nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to provide youth football in North Pierce/South King County areas. Click on the links below for more information regarding the league:

2025 Season:

Equipment Gear Pickup: Time/Date TBD. Rental fee is paid up front at the time of gear pickup. Birth certificates are MANDATORY to be eligible for play. Please bring this with you during gear pickup. Report cards and official school district ASB cards will also be accepted.

Practices Begin: July 28–August 1 (The date practices start is tentative and subject to change.)

Weigh-ins/Jamboree: August 16 (See weigh-in information above by clicking “League Rules.”)

First Games: August 23, 24 (No games Labor Day weekend.)

Season Games: Every Saturday and Sunday (SportsEngine updates that include schedule details will be released after August 19.)

Semifinals: November 1, 2

Championships: November 8, 9

Cost:

Program Fee: $450

Includes:

  • Spirit Pack, which contains:
    • Sweatshirt
    • Practice jersey
    • Practice shorts
  • Volleyball knee pads
  • End-of-season banquet

Refundable Gear Rental Fee: $200 due at gear pickup.

Includes through CCS rental:

  • Uniform
    • Jersey
    • Pants
  • Helmet
  • Shoulder pads

These items must be returned by the end of the season in order for you to receive your refund.

Practices:

Practices are held at the CCS Junior High and High School fields, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Location and time may be subject to change). There will be 3-5 practices per week, Monday–Friday, (tentatively) starting July 28–August 1, 2025.

Required Equipment (not provided by CCS):

  • Cleats (no metal studs)
  • Padded football girdle
  • Mouthguard
