THRIVE Theatre Camp presents Fowl Play, directed by Sara Canton
Camp Details
The week will begin with auditions to determine your role in the play (no preparation needed / play details will be forthcoming). Parents will be invited to watch the performance. During the week we will enjoy fun theatre and improvisation games, work to increase confidence and presentation skills, rehearse the show, and work together on all the behind-the-scenes elements to create an entertaining event!
Play Overview
Generally speaking, the Pruitts are “none too bright” — with the exception of the oldest daughter, Lilybelle. And on this particular morning, Lillybelle’s eager to put her degree from Harvard Business School to use at her new job with a local brokerage company. With a business proposal in mind, she invites over the well-to-do Van Cans for omelets. But problems arise when Lillybelle’s ma, Queenetta, reveals that she “cain’t make no omelets” for the Van Cans on account of the fact that all the Pruitts’ chickens are dead and presumed murdered! Pa accuses neighbors, Leroy Framingham and his twin sons, of ... fowl play!
