CCS Elite Basketball

Cascade Christian Schools offers a variety of elementary sports programming. For elementary basketball, we offer both a competitive division of teams (known as elite teams) and recreational basketball teams. Our vision is to provide skill development and an opportunity for each athlete to progress at his/her own speed and to create a competitive environment that prepares young athletes for junior high and high school competition.

Tryout Details and Selection Process

Tryout Evaluation Process
Tryouts are conducted and evaluated by our CCS High School coaches, along with experienced third-party evaluators. Team selections are based not only on athletic skill but also on character, attitude, team chemistry, and positional needs. We encourage you to keep this in mind when registering your athlete and discussing the process with them.

Commitment Expectations for Elite Basketball
Please be aware that participating in our elite basketball program requires a greater level of commitment than recreational sports. Carefully consider whether this program is the right fit for your athlete and your family’s schedule and priorities.

Mandatory Tryout Check-In
All athletes must check in at tryouts to receive their tryout number. This number is critical, as it will be used to identify your athlete on the team placement lists.

Team List Release Information
Team placement lists will be released via email the evening of September 21. If your athlete attends tryouts, you will receive this email. All team rosters will be attached to the email, so please open the file that corresponds to your athlete’s grade and gender.

  • If your athlete’s tryout number appears on the list, they have been selected for the team and will receive further details the following week.
  • If the number does not appear, they have unfortunately not been selected for a team this season.
  • Please note: We kindly ask that you wait 24 hours after the release of tryout results before reaching out with questions regarding the selection process.

If your athlete is passionate about basketball and wants to continue playing in a fun and developmental setting, we warmly welcome them to join one of our recreational teams!
