We invite you and your teenager to a parenting and family workshop that will provide you with some much-needed skills and strategies on how to navigate the teen years. This workshop will cover topics such as how to communicate without causing collapse or breakdown, how to reduce anxiety and depression, as well as how to unite and bond your family in the face of difficulties. Teenagers are encouraged to come but are not required if just parents want to attend. This workshop will be led by two local licensed professional therapists from Winds of Liberty, Hope & Wellness Center, a faith-based private practice.
Cornelia Thomas, who specializes in therapy for family in conflict, is certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is a former Cascade Christian parent.
Jessie Waiamau-Ariota specializes in therapy for teens struggling with anxiety and depression.
This workshop, though its content is designed for families with teenagers and upper elementary–age children, should be attended by parents/guardians and teenagers only. If you have younger children, you are still welcomed and encouraged to attend, but please leave your children age 12 and younger at home. See the following attendee options:
Because space is limited, we will need 24-hours’ notice of cancellation, or registration is nonrefundable.
